New Bedford, Massachusetts - The community is invited to participate in the final neighborhood cleanup of the season in Ward 4 on Saturday, September 19th at the Gomes Elementary School on 286 South Second Street. Volunteers past, present and future are welcome to attend. Community service groups are also encouraged to join the cleanup effort and may be eligible to receive credit for community service hours.

Operation Clean Sweep volunteers will clean Ward 4 from 8:00am to 10:30am. Volunteers can check-in at the parking lot on the north side of the school. All participants will receive free t-shirts, coffee, donuts and Domino’s, the “official pizza” of Operation Clean Sweep. Volunteers can enter in a free raffle to win prizes donated by local vendors. FUN 107 will broadcast live from the event. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Following the final cleanup of the season, from 10:30am -12:00pm, Operation Clean Sweep organizers will hold a special appreciation celebration for the many volunteers who have given their time and energy throughout the year.
