Coaching in business!?  Now we've all heard of a coach in terms of football teams and professional athletes, but for a business owner, that's a new one!

Markets are becoming global and competition is increasing as consumers have greater choice.  More and more business owners are looking for the edge or fine tuning that will make a difference in their businesses.  They're looking outside their normal resources, for the information and guidance that's needed for them to develop and educate themselves.  In business you're either growing or dying, and a business will only grow to the level of its owner's knowledge and beliefs.  The owners who succeed are those who look to increase their own knowledge, and are prepared to accept changes in the way they think and operate.

To illustrate this point, lets look at the different levels of thinking in a business.  First we have the employees thinking "how much will I get paid?", then the managers "how can I get more out of my staff?".  Next is being "self" employed, and thinking "only I can do this job properly!".
The next level is a business owner who thinks "how can I make more money and work less in the business?".  This change in focus is critical because it takes the owner from working "in" their businesses to working "on" their business.  This "leap" requires major changes for the owner, and in this process,  having a coach is a valuable ingredient.

Jim Rohn's quote, "Never wish the job were easier, wish you were better!" says it all.  Business is simple, people are complicated.  Changing your business can be the easy part, changing yourself and your team is often the greatest hurdle.  Having a business coach helps you maintain your motivation, refine your skills, get constructive feedback, and attain constant improvement in your business.
