As a result of a remarkably successful 2009, TownWear*, BER inc*s socially conscious apparel line, donated thousands of dollars to more than a dozen local charities throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island this year.

TownWear™ gives back 5% of all its sales to charities in the communities where its authorized retailers are located. “Each of our retailers selects a local charity for TownWear™’s Giving Program, and in January we donate 5% of our retailers’ purchases throughout the previous year to the charities of their choice,” Kerrin Adrian, executive director of TownWear™, commented.

“We also launched an all new ladies line and extended youth line this year, “Adrian said. “So now TownWear™ has something for everyone—men and women of all ages, kids, toddlers, and even infants.”

TownWear™ apparel inspires town pride, making its t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats the perfect souvenir and gift items for birthdays, holidays, special occasions, or any day. Known for quality and comfort, TownWear™ apparel is custom designed to celebrate what makes a town special—its history and the landmarks that are meaningful to locals, natives, visitors, and people who are proud of the town in which they work.

All garments are either screen printed or embroidered in New Bedford and are packed and shipped out of Mail Box Services in Mattapoisett. According to TownWear™’s production manager, Doreen Gomes, “If an item doesn’t meet quality control standards, it doesn’t ship.”

TownWear™ offers invaluable free marketing support to its retailers, including custom photography for advertising, an online listing, press release templates, and custom point-of-sale signs. “TownWear™ is a unique product that supports local economies in many ways,” Angela Ellis, sales manager, explained.

With over a dozen authorized retail locations from New Hampshire to Cape Cod, across the SouthCoast, and in Rhode Island and Florida, TownWear™ is growing by the day, as is the support of people who want to help give back to the communities they care about.
