DARTMOUTH, MA – Joe Michaud, Republican candidate for State Representative in the Ninth Bristol district received U.S. Senator Scott Brown’s endorsement on Monday, October 18.

“Joe is the only candidate in the race with the experience to bring real reform to Beacon Hill, and I am proud to support him," Brown said. "As a Selectman in Dartmouth, he turned the town around from financial chaos by making tough decisions and standing up for the taxpayers. Joe will bring an independent voice to state government and fight for common sense solutions to get our state moving again.”

Brown won the Ninth Bristol district by a decisive margin in last January’s special election and served in the Massachusetts legislature for nearly 12 years.

“I’m extremely proud to have received Senator Brown’s endorsement,” said Michaud. “The people of the Ninth Bristol district sent a resounding message across the nation when they elected Scott Brown in January. Like Senator Brown, my top priority is job creation and economic recovery here in the South Coast and across the Commonwealth.”

Michaud is looking to defeat his Democrat opponent in an open seat contest on November 2. Michaud says he will shake up the status quo on Beacon Hill at a time when taxpayers and businesses of the South Coast need a voice in state government. For more information, visit www.votejoemichaud.com.
