2007 Holiday Parking Program in New Bedford

New Bedford, Massachusetts- In an effort to encourage folks to do their holiday shopping in New Bedford, the City is offering a special Holiday Parking Program. Effective November 24th 2007-January 1st 2008, New Bedford is offering FREE 2-Hour parking at metered spaces in both the Downtown and North End business districts, and also at the Elm Street and Zeiterion garages!
If you are parked at a meter in either the Downtown or North End business districts while doing your holiday shopping and by chance receive a ticket, take or mail your parking ticket along with a copy of sales receipt for over $10.00 from a Downtown or North End Business District restaurant/merchant to the Traffic Commission Office.
The Traffic Commission Office is located at 51 Elm Street and is open from Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Questions regarding the Holiday Parking Program can be directed to the Traffic Commission Office at (508) 961-3153.
The 2007 Holiday Parking Program is sponsored by the City of New Bedford Office of the Mayor in conjunction with Downtown New Bedford Inc. and the North End Business Association.
