NEW BEDFORD, MA --- Matthew Barber’s award winning romantic comedy Enchanted April, the third major production of Your Theatre, Inc.’s 61st main Season opens January 16 for a nine performance run. Directed by Your Theatre’s Robin Richard of New Bedford the play runs Wednesdays through Saturdays January 16 - 19 and 23 - 26, 2008, with a matinee Sunday, January 20. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. for all shows except the 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinee.

Cast in the production are Caroline Cuccia, Gil Cardona-Erazo, Trudi Miller, Eric Paradis of New Bedford; Suzanne Bergeron, Margo Wilson-Beauregard of Fairhaven, Cynthia R. Sullivan of Taunton and Michael J. FitzGerald, Jr. of Westport with Dawn A. Moquin of Fairhaven stage managing the production.

Mr. Barbers play, based on the novel by Elizabeth Von Arnim, won the 2003 John Gassner award for outstanding new American Play and a Tony Award . The play tells of. two discontented housewives in 1920s London who decide to rent a villa in Italy for a holiday away from their bleak marriages. They recruit two very different English women to share the cost; a bitter elderly woman and a beautiful young socialite. They all fall under the spell of Bella Italia. What they learn, about love life and themselves, surprises each of them and leads down paths they never thought they would take.

For non-subscribers ticket prices are $12.00 for Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday performances, $14.00 for Friday shows, and $15.00 for Saturday performances.
        
However, a single $2.00 discount for each show is available to any person who presents proof of membership in the American Automobile Association, Massachusetts Teachers Association, New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, or Southcoast Health System’s Employee Advantage Program. Other discounts are available for senior citizens, students, and military personnel.
