For the next two months, the Family Involvement Committee of the Schwartz Center for Children has planned a variety of family oriented activities.
This committee composed of Schwartz Center staff and parents started with the aim of involving more Schwartz Center for Children families in the Center activities and to foster a feeling of greater connectedness towards each other.
Joanne Vital Bernier, Committee Chair, states that “the purpose of this group is to bring together staff, children and families of the Schwartz Center community and to provide them with social, educational and recreational events within a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.”
The upcoming slate of activities include “A Chocolate Affair” on Tuesday, February 12 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in which parents will be offered the opportunity to socialize and network while making Valentine’s candy and “Schwartz Capades” on Wednesday, March 19 in which families and staff can enjoy an evening at the Carousel Skating rink in Fairhaven.
