New Bedford, MA  – Attention, homeowners! Spring is right around the corner, which means it is time once again for the Greater New Bedford Home Show, the largest home show in the South Coast area. This year’s show—the 20th Annual—will be held Saturday, March 8th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 9th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the second year in a row, the event will be held in the Field House at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, 1121 Ashley Boulevard, in New Bedford’s North End.

New Bedford Area Chamber of Comemrce Home Show

2,500-4,000 visitors typically attend the show each year because it offers the only opportunity to talk to the experts from approximately 100 area companies in the business of home improvements, repairs, decorating, fencing, paving, lawn care, and more—all under one roof!

Past and current exhibitors represent a wide variety of home and garden industry segments, including kitchen and bath, siding, paint, spas and pools, decking, windows, fences, cabinetry, furniture and other products; services such as general contracting, landscaping, and decorating; and financial products such as mortgages and home insurance.
Since its inception in 1988, the popularity of the New Bedford Home Show has grown tremendously. “We expect a strong turnout again this year as homeowners look for creative and affordable solutions for improving their homes and outdoor living spaces,” said Chamber President Roy Nascimento.

Admission is $3.00 per adult (children under 12 are free) and includes entrance to the exhibit floor and admittance to a full schedule of seminars—featuring topics ranging from financing tips for home buyers to lawn care to septic system maintenance and Title V requirements. The entry fee also gives visitors a free chance to win the Grand Prize Giveaway of $1,000 in credit to be used toward purchases from the Home Show exhibitor of their choice. (Stop by the Chamber of Commerce’s booth to enter).

Once again, food concessions will also be available on the exhibit floor during show hours.
A limited amount of booth space, starting at $325 for a 10’x8’ booth, is still available for businesses interested in exhibiting. The deadline for reserving booth space is February 27.

“People come to this show looking for solid, hands-on information,” said Nascimento. “We work to make this a show that offers real solutions for homeowners, on the exhibit floor and in the seminars.”

The Greater New Bedford Home Show is sponsored by the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce and the Standard-Times.  For more information or to reserve a booth, please call the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce at (508) 999-5231 or e-mail events@newbedfordchamber.com.
