“Every time my office brings a petition seeking to hold someone in custody because they are sexually dangerous, we do so because we strongly believe that the public needs to be protected from this person,” Sutter said. “The Corey Saunders and David Flavell cases show that more individuals need to be held under the sexually dangerous persons statute in order to protect the public.”
