YWCA southeastern massachusetts

What better way to celebrate your day, than to treat yourself to a day of pampering?  It’s International Women’s Day, so enjoy it!

Take the time to treat yourself to a relaxing massage.  Restore balance to your life through the spiritual healing of Reiki.  Talk to skin care professionals or get a manicure just in time for a night out on the town.  Pampering services are all compliments of the YWCA and the professional women who have generously volunteered, so take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to relax and socialize with other women.

The YWCA’s Sweet Indulgence will take place on Saturday, March 8th.  It will be located at The Sky Room at Howland Place, 651 Orchard Street, New Bedford from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.  A cash bar and sweet indulgences will be available.

International Women’s Day is celebrated in many countries all over the world.  It is a day when women are recognized for their great achievements.  It is a day for looking back at past struggles and accomplishments, and more importantly, for looking ahead to the opportunities that await future generations of women.  When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their day, they can look back to a tradition that represents at least nine decades of struggle for peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people.
