Children in the Day School classroom # 7 have been very busy. Jean Arbec, teacher in that classroom, states that “for the past two weeks the children have been busy preparing and baking for this big day.”
And their efforts paid off! On Valentine’s Day, the children creatively displayed their wares including candles, baked goods featuring a variety of different kinds of breads, cookies, heart shaped cupcakes, valentine themed chocolate lollipops and brownies, a hugging booth, love potion punch, and various raffles. The children also helped checkout eager customers and sold raffles to those willing to take a chance.
Parents, children and staff alike visited the classroom, so much so that by 11:30 a.m. the bake sale was almost completely sold out. Classroom #7 raised a total of $335 to be used to purchase a new dvd/vhs player and many classroom field trips.
