NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - The St. Luke’s Auxiliary will host a “celebrity” fashion show on Thursday, April 24, at 6 p.m. at Rachel’s Lakeside in Dartmouth to benefit digital mammography services at St. Luke’s Hospital.
“Puttin’ on the Pink” will be hosted by WBSM’s morning show icon Pete Braley and Eyewitness News anchor Karen Adams of WPRI Channel 12 (CBS) in Providence.
Guests will enjoy a gourmet meal with pairing wines while local celebrity models adorn the Milan-style catwalk. Among the celebrity models will be New Bedford Mayor Scott Lang; New Bedford Fire Chief Paul Leger; The Standard-Times Editor Robert Unger; Dartmouth Police Captain Scott Brooks and Miss New Bedford, Marissa Louro. A boutique room will be set up with the latest spring fashions, jewelry, giftware, clothing and accessories.
Wines are donated by Douglas Wine & Spirits. Fashions are provided by The Cottage and The Bay of Dartmouth; Little Purls of Tiverton, R.I., and Main Street Formals of Acushnet.

Digital Mammography at Southcoast
Southcoast Health System has upgraded to 100 percent digital mammography at all nine of its mammography service locations from Fall River to Wareham.
Southcoast is the primary provider of breast health services in the region, performing more than 40,000 mammograms a year. Digital mammography is quickly becoming the standard in breast imaging, providing a high-resolution image that can be seen instantly with less radiation, more comfort and greater accuracy. The St. Luke’s Auxiliary is always looking for new members to serve as ambassadors to the community and administer fund-raising programs, including the Gift Shop, luncheons, bake sales and raffles.
