The Spirit is moving at Good Shepherd to bring wonderful things to our church as well as the surrounding community. Church services are Sundays at 10:00AM, with Sunday School starting in the beginning of September.
Downstairs, we have created a cafe called, Oxford Book Haven & Cafe, which is open every Thursday from 10-2:00 PM. We sell a large selection of books at reasonable prices (most are 50 cents!) as well as delicious homemade soups,hot dogs, quohogs, delicious homemade desserts, & drinks.
We are also open for "OPEN MIC" on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 4-8 PM. We have 7 feature performers at this time and anyone who would like to give it a try is welcome. (Our regulars sing Country, Easy listening, Flamenco, Story telling etc.) Chair Massage is also available during "OPEN MIC." The next one is on August 11th. We hope to see you there!
However, the main focus of the cafe is to bring the community together. Our vision was to create a space where people can chat with friends, bask in some solitude,or enjoy some food and drinks, wonderful music, and relaxing massage.
We also have ads on this site for our family oriented yard sale on August 18th/19th. (Chinese Auction, Music, Carnival games for the kids, Books, & Food), & two (2) video presentations (Children-August 8th; Teens-Adults- September 22nd). Our website is www.goodshepherdfairhaven.com
