Please trust me when I tell you I have heard from just about every side of the argument on the case of Sonia Alves Soares..
For those unfamiliar with Mrs. Soares plight she is an 18 year old Illegal Alien who was caught up in the ICE Raid on Bianco Mfg. earlier this year..

Though at first I must admit I was moved by her story as it was portrayed on the local talk radio stations and in her own misleading letters asking for help on her behalf; I've come to learn more about the particulars of her story, and I am now much less inclined to have sympathy for her, her immediate family, or her 2 year old child...

Though originally she herself and her advocates misled people to believe she had long standing in the community; it was revealed in the Standard Times that she has only been here since she was 15.. Upon reading the Standard Times a timeline is revealed which leads to many troubling possibilities..

Her then boyfriend now husband, who is also here illegally, left the 15 year old pregnant girl with her parents, (Who are now also here Illegally), while he came here to work construction.. She then followed him here on a 90 day work Visa, which for reasons I can't comprehend was granted to her in her last trimester of pregnancy.. (An insane policy that should be discontinued in Congress' next session)

Was her arrival in this country under a legal 90 day Visa just a scam to take advantage of the so called "Anchor Baby" loophole? This would indeed seem to be the case.. Although still very much a child herself, she was surely savvy enough to realize that 90 days would give her just the right amount of time to have her child in America.. That seems to be born out as well by the fact that she decided at this point she no longer needed to keep up with the process of staying current on her Visa..

Some questions that should be asked that aren't..
Did she pay the Hospital to cover the cost of her child's delivery?
Did she Pay Taxes while working at Bianco?
Did she use forged documents to obtain work?
Did she knowingly enter this country with the intention of giving birth as a means of establishing grounds for permanent residency?&
Why isn't her loving husband returning to Portugal to be with the Mrs..?

Those are question for Ms. Soares..

As to the underlying causes for this situation, I find it ironic that Ms. Soares claims that Portugal offers her no economic opportunity..
"It's so different here, the type of life.. It's easier than in Portugal.. Here we can have things we never could in Portugal.. At my age I couldn't have a house or pay rent.. There is nothing.."

I may be naive, but I seem to recall many the European Elitists (& a certain 2004 Presidential election losers who shall remain nameless),extolling the "moral superiority of the European Union over the "Hegemony" and evil corporate greed of we un-nuanced Americans"..

Now I could be wrong (it's been many years since I had any formal training in geography) but isn't Portugal part of the European continent?
How come in a place that is governed by the "vaunted" European Union there is such a dearth of economic opportunity?
Could this somehow be related to the disastrous immigration practices of the European Union itself? One need only look to the Strasbourg Resolution for the answer to that question..

During the Arab oil Embargo of the early 70's, The European Economic Commission,(EEC), made a suicidal deal with the Arab States/OPEC to resume shipments of oil to Europe..

The EEC arranged to take in uncontrolled numbers of, primarily Muslim, North African workers, ostensibly to do "The work Europeans were no longer willing to do".. Does that sound familiar?

This practice has not only left Europe with some of the highest inflation rates & unemployment in the industrialized world; but even more alarming perhaps, it has left Europe teetering on the brink of an Islamic majority.. Authors like Bat Ye'or, Orianna Fallaci, and Robert Spencer have all written extensively about the rise of Islam in Europe, and if current population trends continue, Islam will be the predominant religion on the continent by the end of this century, if not sooner..

I'm very sorry for Ms Soares but as anyone can plainly see, her staying here does nothing to address the overall issues at hand, neither ours or Europe's.. Perhaps thousands of citizens being repatriated to their native European Country will be the wake up call Europe needs to address their asinine/nihilistic social policies of the past 40 years..

People should back away from the microscope when they talk about illegal immigration.. When you do you realize, by the ones most illegal immigration stories are tragic, by the millions they are cultural suicide..
