For Art Lovers, New Bedford Is The Place

New Bedford, Massachusetts - If you love the visual arts then New Bedford is the place to be to see new works in a variety of media. With the 4th Annual Open Studios and new exhibits opening in several galleries, art lovers have a variety of shows to choose from – most feature works by New Bedford area artists.
The 4th Annual New Bedford Open Studios on Saturday October 4th and Sunday, October 5th kicks off the month. Open Studios involves more than 100 artists, exhibiting in 15 historic buildings including mills, a former church, and other vintage buildings throughout New Bedford. This unique event allows the public the opportunity to see the art displayed in the studios in which it was created. Open Studios is FREE and artwork may be purchased directly from the artists. http://newbedfordopenstudios.org
Artworks! presents two new exhibits from September 27th-October 18th. The main gallery hosts Sample: Artists of New Bedford Open Studios, an exhibit highlighting a sample of work made by local artists participating in the Open Studios weekend. The exhibit features selections by several artists currently working in New Bedford.
