Attia Clothing is located in Historic Downtown New Bedford at 173 Union Street. Attia is the premier clothing boutique North of Providence and South of Boston. With designer labels for both men and women found in the most prominent fashion districts of Boston, Los Angeles and New York, Attia Clothing is redefining the image for New Bedford and South Eastern Massachusetts style. The boutique will carry labels such as 7, Joe’s Jeans, Paper Denim and Cloth, Citizens and True Religion, along with many of the recently discovered and undiscovered designers.

The proprietor, Meghan Attia McNally, got her inspiration while in college in New York City and through her travels. After moving to South Eastern Mass and realizing the historic beauty of the Downtown New Bedford District, she decided to make it her home. One year later, she realized the need for change in the area and made the first step, starting Attia. “This area is beautiful, the people are wonderful and the ideas are out there. The problem is the ideas are not being acted on because people don’t believe in the city. I am someone who believes in it’s potential; and, I am creating the change rather than waiting for it to happen. I am confident that the community will start to believe also. There is already a strong sense of support here.”

While Meghan would like to say she was the first one down here, she can’t; but, she would like to thank the people that are. “Businesses are starting to flourish into the city; and, the people are following. Recently, a couple from Brookline had dinner next to us at a restaurant, Café Balena, and they are excited for the store to open,” said Meghan, “businesses such as Blush Beauty Bar, Bejeweled, Salon Lola and Cork Wine and Tapas Bar are bringing the same vision of fashion and style to our city. You can now get your nails and hair done at Salon Lola, go to Blush for your make-up, pick up your jewelry at Bejeweled and come to Attia for that special outfit to make your Friday night a fashionable affair.”

Attia’s Grand Opening will be held on August 9th in front of the store. We will be having a first class fashion show put on by CMG Modeling, Blush Beauty Bar, Bejeweled and Salon Lola along with the help of Cardoza’s Wine & Spirits, CORK, Franchise Studios and John Farrall Productions.
