				      <description>The 18th Annual New Bedford Folk Festival, formerly called New Bedford Summerfest, will feature the best in contemporary, traditional and Celtic folk music from Saturday, July 6 through Sunday, July 7, 2013. The festival is located in the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center and the Whaling National Historical Park in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Called &amp;ldquo;one of the most exciting and smartly programmed festivals in the Northeast&amp;rdquo; and &amp;ldquo;New England&amp;rsquo;s most enjoyable folk festival&amp;rdquo;, New Bedford Folk Festival is an affordable destination for families seeking a fun-filled weekend. Featured among the nearly fifty musical acts are Lori McKenna, Cheryl Wheeler, John Gorka, Ellis Paul, Anais Mitchell, The Grand Slambovians, Visht&amp;egrave;n, Kevin Burke, Antje Duvekot, Michael Johnson, Brooks Williams, Beppe Gambetta, and the John Whalen Trio.
